Abstract:

This international research project explores for the first time the working methods and techniques of European contemporary fashion designers. A special focus lies on the networks of the designers and their interdisciplinary approaches which are recorded and analysed. Unit F büro für mode will cover the Vienna-based and Austrian designers. An evaluation of the researched material will show the various working methods as well as the differences between regional, national and international strategies. The results will be shown on a web site.
