Michael Stampfer has been managing the office of the WWTF since 1 July 2002. A graduate of the Law Faculty of Vienna University, he has acquired many years of experience in Austrian and international research and technology policy. Initially he worked for the Science Ministry before undertaking responsibility for the K plus Competence Centres Programme of Technologie Impulse Gesellschaft (TIG, now FFG). Dr. Stampfer is a member of several international working groups and author of numerous publications.

Dr. Donia Lasinger

Donia Lasinger studied business sciences specializing in strategy, innovation management and human resource management at the University of Linz and the Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. In her doctoral research she analyzed the strategic issue management process of innovation in well-known business organizations. She is co-author of the book „Der Signalnavigator“ (“The ‘signalnavigator’”) that combines theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the recognition and usage of early signals in innovative processes. During and after her doctoral studies she worked as a management consultant in a national and international surrounding. Besides longstanding experience in project management, she is interested in human resource development, evaluation systems, energy and innovation policy and the management of trainings/ seminars. Since July 1st, 2012 she is a Programme Manager at the Vienna Science and Technology Fund (WWTF).

Cornelia Schrauf studied zoology specializing in cognitive biology at the University of Vienna. In her doctoral research she studied cognitive processes of great apes when solving physical-technical problems, with research stays at the Max-Planck-Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, the Great Ape Research Institute in Japan and at the University of Heidelberg. As a Postdoc she worked at the Department of Behavioural Biology at the University of Vienna. Cornelia Schrauf has several years of experience in third party funding, project organization and project management. Since April 1, 2012 she is a Programme Manager at the Vienna Science and Technology Fund (WWTF).

Michael Strassnig studied communication studies, sociology, history and history of arts at the University of Vienna and University of Bielefeld. He received a doctoral degree in sociology specializing in science and technology studies. For ten years, he was working at the Department of Social Studies of Science (University of Vienna) where he was involved in a number of third-party funded research projects. 2004-07, Michael was Managing Editor of the international peer-reviewed journal “Science, Technology, & Human Values”. Besides longstanding experience in conducting research projects, he is interested in science and innovation policy. Before starting at the WWTF as a Programme Manager in May 2012, he was a postdoc researcher at the University of Lucerne.

Alexander Wöhrer studied Business Informatics at the University of Vienna. His doctoral studies at the Institute of Scientific Computing at the University of Vienna focused on elaborating novel methods to improve the integration of databases into service-oriented architectures for scientific applications. During this time he worked on - administrativ and with regards to contents - various national and international research projects. At last he was working at the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences as a Assistant Professor for Software Engineering with a focus on Cloud Computing. Since August 2012, he is a Programme Manager at the Vienna Science and Technology Fund (WWTF).

Marita Benkwitz owns a degree in business administration. She has worked as an auditor for BDO Deutsche Warentreuhand Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft AG for almost ten years before she joined the WWTF where she is responsible for project report controlling.

Alexandra Petschar studied economics at the Karl-Franzens-Universität in Graz. Until 2011 she worked for a semiconductor company in Controlling & Finance. The last 4 years she worked project-based in IT, Finance and shopping. On 1. August 2015 she joined WWTF and is since part of the controlling team.

Silvia Benes is responsible for the secretariat side of the WWTF Office. She is a specialist in office management and human resources.

After her studies of German language & literature and art history, Gerda Adam worked in cultural management and as an editor for publishing houses. Since fall 2010 Gerda Adam supports (in part time) the office management of WWTF.
